💂In the danish armed forces, there is a saying that goes: Tænk, Tast, Tal (Think, Dial, Speak)

It refers to how to operate the radio:

1. Think first about what you are going to say
2. Then press the button/dial (thus occupying the radio wave)
3. Now speak

Often in our professional and personal lives, we speak, then think, and then (maybe) re-dial/email to explain ourselves more clearly.

You can skip a step if you (more) carefully consider what you are going to say before you speak/email
