Common misconceptions

The world we live in is full of misconceptions that we accept as fact. Here are a few of my favorites:

• Fortune cookies are Chinese (they were actually brought to the U.S. by the Japanese)
• Napoleon was short (he was actually five feet seven inches tall, slightly taller than the average Frenchman at the time)
• Vikings wore horns on their helmets (this myth comes from Richard Wagner’s opera Der Ring des Nibelungen)

There are a lot of misconceptions in the world of founding a business as well.
