Being accountable to others is easy, but to ourselves, not so much.
There are three reasons for that:
1) we do not have a clear sense of priority and urgency for the things we have to do
2) we do not say no to others and to other priorities as well as we ought to
3) we do what is fun and easy first, and not what is necessary but maybe hard
