Tips for Boosting Your Overall Well-Being

Most physical well-being advice is either too vague to act on or too demanding to stick with. Here's what actually holds up for founders and CEOs I coach.

Protect sleep like it's a meeting with your biggest investor. A consistent bedtime, screens off before it, does more for how you show up tomorrow than almost anything else on this list.

Move daily, briefly, without needing it to be a workout. A twenty-minute walk changes your afternoon more than people expect, and it's low enough friction that you'll actually do it on the bad weeks.

Cut caffeine off by mid-morning. Not because caffeine is evil, but because the afternoon crash it causes is usually mistaken for tiredness when it's really a chemical, not a character, problem.

Eat food that doesn't sabotage your focus two hours later. You don't need a diet plan, just enough attention to notice which meals leave you sharp and which leave you reaching for something else to get through 3pm.

Build in one real recovery block a week, not just downtime between tasks, but something with nothing to do with the business at all.

None of these require a wellness budget or a personal trainer. They require deciding, in advance, that your body gets the same intentionality your calendar does.

If you want to see how well-being is actually tracking across your whole life, not just your body, the Whole Human Life Score is a free ten-minute check.
