“When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” - Yogi Berra

This famous quote from the legendary baseball player comes with tongue firmly in cheek, but there’s much wisdom to it.

I was at my own personal crossroads some years ago.

There were two paths in front of me:I could go back to starting and building a company, something I had done multiple times before.

Or I could take a high paying, high security (perceived) job everyone was clamoring to get.It was one of the hardest career decisions I have had to make. Eventually I decided to build something on my own.

The key thing here is that I did make a selection. I truly believe that the only thing worse than making the wrong choice is making no choice.

You can always course-correct the wrong path. But it’s much harder to bounce back when you leave yourself in limbo.

So, make a choice - go for it - and pull your whole heart towards the effort. Otherwise, to quote Yogi again, “You’ve got to be very careful if you don’t know where you are going, because you might not get there.”
