It’s not just the strategy.
It’s the story, the signal, and staying grounded in what matters.
Ever feel like you’re sprinting so fast you forgot why you started?
In this week’s video, I talk about something that happens to almost every founder I coach:
You lose touch with your original why.
And when that happens, everything starts to feel heavier.
Here’s how to find your way back:
1. Revisit your origin story
Why did you sit down to build this in the first place?
What sparked the idea?
What made it feel urgent, necessary, worth doing?
2. Talk to your customers
What are they seeing in your work?
Why are they choosing you?
You’ll learn more in one honest conversation than in ten strategy sessions.
3. Block out the noise
Another startup raised a mega round.
Someone else made a splashy exit.
None of that is your measure of success.
Your work, your values, your impact, that’s the real scoreboard.
You didn’t start this to play someone else’s game.
You started it to build something that matters.
Go back to that.
